About twenty thousand tons of mixed wastes were taken from Estero de Pandacan done by Cherry Mobile employees in coordination with ABS-CBN Foundation–Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig together with River Warriors, residents and barangay council of 826 Pandacan, Manila, and core group members of Cherry Mobile Student Guild from Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa Manila.

The clean-up drive served as a symbolic act of raising awareness among stakeholders to continually perform concrete actions for the restoration of dying rivers.

The students realized that there is still hope in seeing polluted waterways clean again, if all stakeholders in the community would work hand in hand in saving the environment for the next generations. They came to a conclusion that with everyone having a sense of ownership of the environment, everyone would be concerned of implementing improvement measures toward sanitation and conservation of resources.

For this purpose Cherry Mobile partners with various environmental non-government and government organizations – to care for the environment and save what still remains for the next generations to experience and enjoy. Cherry Mobile upholds the principle of caring for our natural resources and implement sustainable business practices responsive to climate change.
